Ramon Quiles Torres

Ramon Quiles Torres, 75, of Reading, passed away on February 19, 2025 at Hershey Medical Center. Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Pedro Quiles and Gumersinda Torres. Ramon was the loving companion of Migdalina Zambrana Cuevas for 49 years.

Ramon explored various careers during his lifetime and found in significant interests in landscaping, cooking, and baking. He loved to cook and made sure his family was well fed. Family gatherings were a highlight for him, as he cherished the moments spent with loved ones. A true sports enthusiast, Ramon delighted in watching baseball, football, and basketball.

With faith of importance, Ramon was once a member of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

In addition to Migdalina, Ramon is survived by his step-children: Jose L. Rivera (Christina), Lissette Rivera, Roberto Rivera (Molly) and Juan M. Rivera (Maria). He will be deeply missed by thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his sister, Maria Motieram (Steve) and his brother, Anibal Quiles, along with many nieces and nephews.

Ramon was predeceased by his parents and his brothers and sisters.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at 7PM at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Family and friends will be welcomed for a viewing from 5-7:00PM.
