Ramon Crespo Cruz

Ramon Crespo Cruz, 93, of Reading, PA, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 14, 2023, in the care of Reading Hospital. Born on January 9, 1930, in Barranquitas, PR, to the late Ramon Crespo Sr. and Francesca Cruz, Ramon came to Reading in the 1950's.

Ramon is survived by his beautiful and loving wife of 70 years, Maria (Vazquez) Crespo. He has seven children: Ramon A. Crespo, husband of Linda; Antonio Crespo, husband of Sandra; Marilyn Renninger, wife of Clark; Raynaldo Crespo, husband of Ruth Ann; Raymond Kerry Crespo, husband of Mariely; Carmen Rosa Crespo; and Ramon E. Crespo. Ramon is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Matthew Crespo; Nicole M. Crespo; Anthony M. Crespo; Tina Crespo-Hrebin; Edward O'Connell Kalbach II; Marie Zocco; Monica Swede; Caitlin Crespo; Jonah R. Crespo; Bethany N. Crespo Duncan; and Josiah R. Crespo. He was blessed with 13 great grandchildren.

Ramon "Crespin" is known for his commitment to his Reading and Greater Berks Community. Ramon was a well-known radio DJ in Berks County during the 1970's through the early 2000's. His show, "El Cofre Musical de los Requedos" brought happiness to all those who appreciated this music. Those days will never be forgotten and will live in the hearts of those that knew it well.

As Ramon always said, "NO TE DIGO ADIOS, SI NO TE DIGO HASTA LUEGO… I LOVE YOU, SWEETHEART."

A funeral service for Ramon will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. Viewing and visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
