Ralph R. Delong

Ralph R. DeLong, 89 of Hamburg died February 18, 2013 in the Schuylkill Medical Center East where he had been a patient since February 9th. He was the husband of Marian L. (Long) DeLong. Ralph was born in Tilden Township and was the son of the late Alfred M.H. and Sallie C. (Epler) DeLong. He was a 1941 graduate of Hamburg High School and served in the Army Air Corp during WWII. Ralph was a member of Salem E.C. Church. He worked several years for Emhardt Pattern Works as a pattern maker retiring in 1986. In addition to his wife he is survived 3 daughters: Brenda K. wife of Kenneth Searle, Orwigsburg, Linda L. wife of Mike Huseman, Auburn and Sandra A. wife of Timothy Rittle, Annville, 7 grandchildren and 10 great grand children. He is also survived by a sister: Lillian Romano, Tilden Township. Ralph was predeceased by a grandson. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg with Pastor Dave Long officiating.
