Ralph N. Snideman

Ralph N. Snideman, 102, formerly of Hamburg, PA died March 25, 2009 in Community Hospice of Texas at Burleson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys (Johnson) Snideman, on April 24, 2000.

Born in Creed, CO, he was the son of the late Dora and Carrie (Lees) Snideman. He was a graduate of Shelton Academy, in Platte Valley, Nebraska in 1927. An entrepreneur, he owned and operated S&S Plastics, a company providing employment for high school students attending schools in MO, CO, NE, and Blue Mountain Academy in Hamburg, PA. He retired in 1976. Both he and his wife were strong supporters of Christian education. Ralph was a member of Hamburg Seventh Day Adventist Church.

He is survived by three daughters, Phyllis, wife of Ralph Leiby of Sturgeon, MO, Donna, wife of Richard Spotts of Cleburne, TX, and Elizabeth Reed, partner of William McCracken of Redwood City, CA; and one sister, Wilma Boring, Arvada, CO. Seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren also survive him.

A private graveside service will be held in Pleasant View Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. in West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
