Ralph L. Armentrout

Ralph L. Armentrout, 96, formerly of Hamburg, passed away on Friday, May 28, 2021, in his daughter's home surrounded by loving family. He was the devoted husband of Joyce M. (Budden) Armentrout.

Born to the late James and T. Helen (Shirkey) Armentrout, Ralph served his country during WWII in the Army Air Corps. Fighting in France and Germany, Ralph earned two battle stars, a sharpshooter medal and combat badge.

Ralph retired in 1986 after 26 years as a utility man for Globe Underwear.

He was an avid bowler and enjoyed outdoor activities such as gardening, hunting and fishing. Ralph took a liking to line dancing, which he practiced with his senior club.

In addition to his wife, Joyce, Ralph's memory will be treasured by their children: Rev. Calvin L. Armentrout (Connie Armentrout) of Vinton, VA, and Kathy Wolf (Dr. Daryl Wolf) of Hephzibah, GA; grandchildren Rachel, Hannah, and Jordan; and great grandchildren Joel, Luke, and Noah. Ralph was predeceased by his sisters Elaine Gentry and Evelyn Kaufman, brothers James and Wade, and his stillborn grandson, Calvin Joel.

Funeral Services for Ralph will be held on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 S 4th St, Hamburg, PA 19526 with burial following at Berks Co. Memorial Gardens. Friends and family are
