Rae P. Rudnick

Rae P. Rudnick, 99, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away April 14, 2016, in her residence.

She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Jacob J. Rudnick, whom she married on February 17, 1946.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Chadwick Peyser and Alexandria (Lieberman) Peyser Smulowitz; and step-daughter of David Smulowitz.

Rae was a graduate of Coatsville High School and Taylor Business School, Philadelphia.

She was a member of the Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom where she was also a member its Sisterhood and a life member of Hadassah.

Rae was the manager of her husband's podiatry practice.

She is survived by two children: Cathy R., wife of Whitney A. Sanders, II, Wyomissing; and Marcia E. Rudnick, Wyomissing; two grandchildren: Caroline, wife of Michael Byers; and Whitney A., III, husband of Dr. Jennifer Sanders; and four great grandchildren: Jacob and Alexander Sanders; and Wyatt and Charles Byers. Several nieces and nephews also survive her.

Rae was predeceased by her brother Dr. Allen Peyser and her step-brother, Leonard Smulowitz.

Services will Sunday at 1 p.m. in the Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom, 555 Warwick Drive, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Burial to follow in Mt. Sinai Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Reform Congregation Oheb Sholom at the above address or the Wyomissing Public Library, 9 Reading Blvd, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J.
