Rachel Michele Cox

Rachel Michele Cox, 16, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at St. Christopher's Children's Hospital.

Born in Reading, PA, she was the daughter of James H. and Michele L. (Stauffer) Cox. She was a junior at Tulpehocken High School, where she competed in field hockey, basketball, track, and cross country.

Rachel was a dedicated athlete and honor student. When not at sports practices, she loved spending time with her family and their dog, Duke. Rachel enjoyed listening to country music. She was well loved by the community and her friends.

In addition to her parents, Rachel is survived by her brothers: John M. Cox, Jacob H. Cox, and Stephen J. Cox; her maternal grandparents, Michael and Debra Stauffer, Nazareth and her paternal grandparents, John and Catherine Cox, Allentown.

Services for Rachel will be held Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Burial will be private. A separate memorial service will be held at Tulpehocken High School in the near future.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Bernville Fire Company or Ronald McDonald House.
