Priscilla M. "Prissie" Haag, 61 of Hamburg died March 24th in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was the wife of Glenn M. Haag. Prissie was born in West Reading and was the daughter of the late Lewis "Mick" Madenfort and Doris (Leiby) Madenfort of Hamburg. She graduated from Hamburg High School in 1966 and was a 1969 graduate of the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. Prissie was a member of the First United Church of Christ, Hamburg where she taught Sunday School for over 30 years. She was employed as an office nurse by the late Dr. Carl Sweitzer in Hamburg for many years. She worked for the Laurel Center for several years retiring from nursing in 1998. After retiring she enjoyed working for the Sweet Angel Bake Shoppe in Reading. Prissie lived her life for her children and grandchildren and was a devoted wife. Her grandchildren called her "Gammy." She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends. In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by 1 daughter: Gretta H. wife of Keith Young, Hamburg; 1 son: Bradley G. Haag, Mendham, NJ; 1 grandson and 1 granddaughter and a sister Shelley Beissel, Leesport. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the First United Church of Christ, Third & Pine Streets, Hamburg. A viewing will be held Sunday evening from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg, PA and on Monday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery, Hamburg.
