Phyllis M. Degeorge

Phyllis M. DeGeorge, 88, died May 4, 2015, in St. Joseph's Hospital.

Her husband, Joseph A. DeGeorge, died December 15, 2002. They celebrated 54 years of marriage.

Born in Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Trisa (Consentino) Cassaro.

Phyllis was the owner and operator of Phyllis' Sandwich Shop, Reading from 1969 to 1979. She also worked for various local retail stores from 1972 until her retirement in 1992.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Phyllis is survived by two children, Joseph S. DeGeorge, South Heidelberg Twp. and Dr. Theresa D., wife of Randall K. Haught, Reading. She is also survived by three siblings, Angelo Cassaro, Laureldale; Grace, wife of Heinrich Schlarb, Sinking Spring; and Albert Cassaro, Las Vegas.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Anna Bitzer and Mildred Motacki.
