Peter Horst Wolfe

Peter Horst Wolfe, 84, died December 30, 2013, in The Highlands at Wyomissing.

He was the husband of Elizabeth Corbit Wolfe.

Born in West Reading he was a son of the late George W. Wolfe and Ella Horst Wolfe.

He was a graduate of New York Military Academy and Lafayette College.

Peter was the president of Wolfe Dye and Bleach Works, Shoemakersville.

He was a member of Calvary United Church of Church, Reading; and was a long-time member of Maidencreek Fish and Game Club and Washington Library Association.

Peter was a Korean Conflict veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Dr. Charles Corbit Wolfe, husband of Susan Gallagher Wolfe, Williamsburg, VA. There is one brother, Philip D. Wolfe, husband of Joanne Leyda Wolfe, Wyomissing. Seven grandchildren: Zoe Samuel, Washington, DC; Mia, Ava, Ella and Colin Samuel all of Philadelphia; and Reid and Kelsey Wolfe both Williamsburg also survive him.

Peter was predeceased by his daughter, Carol Corbit Wolfe in 2011 and his brother, George W. Wolfe, Jr.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in The Highlands at Wyomissing. Burial will be private in Charles Evans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Highlands Endowment Fund, 2000 Cambridge Ave., Wyomissing, PA 19610. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
