Peter Prydybasz

Peter Prydybasz, 89, of Cumru Township, passed peacefully December 11, 2013, in his home.

He was the husband of Helen V. (Wiczalkowski) Prydybasz for 65 years.

Born September 3, 1924 in Ashland, PA he was the son of Andrew & Kathryn (Chajka) Prydybasz.

Peter graduated from Reading High School and Wyomissing Polytechnic Institute.

He served as an MP during WWII in the U.S. Army.

He retired from Rockwell International (formerly Textile Machine Works), after 41 years as a machinist/tool maker.

He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and metal working.

He survived by his children, Peter S. Prydybasz and his wife Jan of Mohnton and Jean Hellenthal and her husband Thomas of Sinking Spring; three grandchildren, Jennifer (Prydybasz) Cybulski, Lee and Ashley Hellenthal; great granddaughter, Pheonah Cybulski.

He was predeceased by his brothers, Andrew, Nickolas, and Samuel.

He was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church.

Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the viewings held Sunday, December 15, 2013 from 3 to 5 p.m. and Monday, December 16, 2013 from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. both at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday December 16th at 10 a.m. in St. John Baptist de la Salle Church, 400 Holland St., Shillington, PA.
