Peter V. Goodhart

Peter V. Goodhart, 88, of Exeter Township, died August 16, 2011, in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Ilse L. (Proger) Goodhart.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Peter and Katharine (van Stratton) Goodhart.

He was a graduate of Mt. Penn High School.

Peter was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran serving in the 1st Division in Guadalcanal.

He was employed as an engineer by Diefenderfer and Sons, Pennside.

Peter was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Mt. Penn.

A real sports enthusiast, he especially rooted for the Philadelphia teams.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by several nieces and nephews.
