Peter W. Ehrgood

Peter W. Ehrgood, Jr., 70, of Sinking Spring and Mantoloking, NJ, passed away, Wednesday, April 26, 2017, in Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Deborah (Schmidt) Ehrgood, whom he married June 14, 1969.

Born in Lebanon, PA, he is the son of Elizabeth (Means) Ehrgood, and the late Peter W. Ehrgood, Sr.

Pete was a graduate of York Country Day School, and attended Westminster College, New Wilmington, PA.

He worked at NCR Corp. for three years. Pete later worked in information technology for 28 years at Berks County Intermediate Unit, #14, retiring in January, 2009.

Pete was member of Bausman Memorial United Church of Christ, Wyomissing, where he was a consistory member for 12 years, consistory president for two terms, and church treasurer for 12 years.

Pete took great joy in being with his family. He was "Pa" to Pavlik and Keira. He had many interests including collecting "S" gauge model trains, gardening, listening to music, and being with friends.

In addition to his wife, Pete is survived by two daughters, Kristin S. Ehrgood, wife of Vadim Nikitine, Washington, D.C.; and Diane E. Toman, wife of Kevin Toman, Shallotte, NC. Two siblings, Katherine Sturm, Albequerque, NM, and Horace Ehrgood, Lebanon, PA; and two grandchildren, Pavlik Ehrgood Nikitine, and Keira Elizabeth Nikitine also survive him.

A memorial service will be held Monday, May 1, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Bausman Memorial United Church of Christ, 1064 Penn Ave, Wyomissing, PA 19610. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
