Percy Edward Wright

Percy Edward Wright Jr., 78, known by all affectionately as "Ed" or "Eddie", formerly of Morgantown, PA, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, in the care of Berkshire Center, Exeter. He was the widower of Susan J. (Case) Wright, who passed in 2011. Born to the late Percy Edward Wright Sr. and Anna (Staub) Wright, Ed proudly served his country in the United States Army, serving 2 tours in Vietnam before being honorably discharged.

For most of his life, Ed worked at Kiwi Brands Inc, in Douglasville, PA before deciding to take an early retirement. He enjoyed this free time to pursue his hobbies and spend time with his family, but found his energy needed an additional outlet. He rejoined the workforce on a part-time basis for the Penske Corporation, delivering and transferring vehicles in the Tri-State area and beyond, which suited him perfectly as an avid car and truck enthusiast.

He had a lifelong love of the cinema, enjoying the immersive experience of movie theaters, even replicating it on a smaller scale at home with large screen TVs and surround sound technology. He had an extensive collection of movies and television series at home, displayed in an order only he understood, spanning all genres from sweeping drama pieces, true-crime mysteries and thrillers, gut-splitting comedies to fantastical science-fiction.

He enjoyed good food, good music, and good company. He was always happy to simply be included, with an easy-going demeanor and a fierce enjoyment of testing other's knowledge of random trivia. He was fond of sharing stories of his life and telling jokes, loving to hear other people laugh and he could do this easily, as he had a treasure trove of stories of his life that never failed to entertain others.

Ed is survived by his children, Amy Annissa De Lucia, wife of Andrea Joseph De Lucia, of Elverson, and Bryan Edward Wright of Morgantown; his beloved grandchildren: Andrew, Noah, Gianna, and Lia, as well as many adored nieces and a nephew, and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. In addition to his wife and his parents, Ed was predeceased by his sister, Doris, and his son, Christopher.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Veterans of Foreign Wars at https://heroes.vfw.org/.

Services for Ed will be private at the convenience of his family. He will be privately interred at the family plot at Riverside Cemetery, West Norriton, PA. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is entrusted with arrangements. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
