Penelope Ann Mellinger

Penelope Ann Mellinger, 55, passed away on September 14, 2026 at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation in Royersford. Born in Kansas City, KS, she was the daughter of Eugene and Catherine (Stefanovige) Mowery. She was the loving spouse of Jerry Mellinger, with whom she shared 36 years of marriage.

Penelope was a graduate of Solanco High School and dedicated her life to raising her children, creating a home filled with love, stability, laughter, and countless memories.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Bryan Mellinger, Jerry Mellinger, Jr., Jessica Mellinger. She will also be missed by her siblings: Eugene, husband of Karen, of Holtwood; Dennis, husband of Kimberly, of Quarryville; Linda, wife of Jeff Kieffer, of Atglen; Debora Mowery, of Holtwood and Yolande Mowery, of Quarryville. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
