Pauline J. Peters

Pauline Janet (Jacobs) Peters, 85, formerly of South 9th Street, Allentown, died August 17, 2010 in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was the wife of Donald Bernard Peters, whom she married November 13, 1943.

Born in Shamokin, PA on February 9, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary (Morris) Jacobs.

She was a 1942 graduate of William Allen High School.

Pauline was a member of Good Shepherd United Church of Christ, Tuckerton.

After raising her children, she was employed 32 years as a jeweler's assistant for her husband Donald in Leh's Department Store, Allentown, before retiring in 1986.

Pauline was a volunteer for 20 years at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown.

She is also survived by two daughters: Karen Ann. (Peters), wife of Dennis Stewart of Maidencreek Township and Kim Susan (Peters), wife of Larry Kruger of Swansea, MA.

Other survivors include a sister, Mary (Jacobs) Plessor ; three grandchildren: Jennifer Mehmood, Jodi Morris and Sean Chrobak and three great grandchildren: Cameron Morris, Tyler Morris and Ayla Mehmood.

Services will be held Friday at 3:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Dr. Robert A. Stewart officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services.
