Paul David Weyandt

Paul David Weyandt, 84, died February 25, 2009 at 4:45 p.m. in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Cathryn (Bruderer) Weyandt for 64 years.

Born November 18, 1924 in Laureldale, he was a son of the late Stanley Howard and Katie Diana (Bagenstose) Weyandt.

Paul was a 1942 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was employed as a millwright for Lucent Technologies, Muhlenberg Township for 25 years, retiring in 1984.

Paul was a member of Zion-Spies Reformed Church, Alsace Township.

Also surviving are four children: P. David, husband of Gail R. (Gromis) Weyandt of Laureldale; Cathy J. (Weyandt), wife of Michael P. Zadlo of Mohnton; Gary R. Weyandt of Muhlenberg Township and Lance A., husband of Donna R. (Kohler) Weyandt of Muhlenberg Township.

In addition there is a brother, Robert L., husband of Geraldine M. (Reed) Weyandt of Bern Township and a sister, Judith A. (Weyandt), wife of Thomas Host of Elizabethtown, PA.

There are eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren surviving.

Paul was predeceased by a son Brent L. Weyandt who died April 24, 1979; a sister, Marjorie D. (Weyandt) Johnson who died January 31, 2005 and a grandson Matthew Zadlo.

A Memorial Service will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with Rev. Merrill R. Marisseau officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to services.
