Paul Phillip Watkins

Paul Phillip Watkins, Sr., 57, of Muhlenberg Township, died July 27, 2009 at 12:15 a.m. in his residence.

He was the husband of Rebecca Elizabeth (Staver) Watkins, whom he married June 9, 1990.

Born May 15, 1952 in Harrisburg, PA, he was a son of the late Paul Tremanine and Catherine Irene (Schott) Watkins.

Paul was employed by Ephrata Manufacturing as a tow motor operator for 23 years.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Paul was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Also surviving are three children, Catherine (Watkins) Schnee and Christin (Watkins) Waddell, both of York and Paul P. Watkins, Jr. of Muhlenberg Township.

There is also a step-son, Christopher A. Kissinger of Muhlenberg Township surviving.

In addition, there are two brothers, Dennis Watkins of Helem, York County and Jeff Watkins of Denver, Lancaster County and two sisters, Virginia (Watkins) Bisking and Cara (Watkins) Stoy, both of Lancaster.

Other survivors include two granddaughters.

Paul was predeceased by a brother, Kevin Watkins.

Services will be Thursday evening at 8 p.m. in the Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Inurnment will be in Christ Little Tulpehocken Cemetery, Jefferson Township.
