Paul V. Stello

Paul Vincent Stello, 88, of Shillington, died May 17, 2012 in Mifflin Center, Cumru Township.

He was the husband of Theresa Mary (Romanoski) Stello whom he married May 30, 1959.

Born May 12, 1924 in Kulpmont, Northumberland County, he was a son of the late Guiseppe and Catherine (Nestico) Stello.

Paul was a graduate of Kulpmont High School.

He was employed as a printer with The Reading Eagle Company for 30 years. He was also employed in security with The Highlands at Wyomissing for over 20 years, retiring in 2009.

Paul was a member of St. John the Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church, Shillington.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Paul was a member of Sons of Italy and was an avid Penn State Football Fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children: Brian Stello of Allentown; Michelle B. Mulherin of West Lawn; Lisa M., wife of Richard M. Sachetta of Sinking Spring and Timothy Stello.

Other survivors include two brothers, Carl Stillo and Dominic Stello, both of Kulpmont, Northumberland County.

Also surviving are two grandchildren: Katrina Mulherin and Daniel Sachetta.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in St. John's Church, Kerrick and Mitti Road, Shillington. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading.
