Paul L. Stauffer

Paul L. Stauffer, Sr., 58, died June 16, 2013 in his residence following a battle with ALS, (Lou Gahrig's Disease).

He was the husband of Mary Ann Elizabeth (Blew) Stauffer, whom he married September 25, 1993.

Born in Pottstown, Pa on August 20, 1954, he was a son of the late David M. and Jennie C. (Lutz) Stauffer.

He was a 1972 graduate of Boyertown High School.

Paul was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Boyertown.

He was a woodworker his entire life, serving in that capacity for 33 years at his fathers company; Piggy Storage Sheds, Boyertown and later at Fleetwood Fixtures, Leesport for 5 years, last working July, 2012.

Paul also owned Paul Stauffer Custom Wood Products, Amity Township for seven years.

He loved to travel and study history. He especially loved learning about the Civil War.

Paul was an avid woodworker and could make anything. His specialty was furniture.

He is also survived by four children: Paul L. Stauffer, Jr., companion of Kara Miller of Mohnton; Stephen M., husband of Ashley D. (Reichardt) Stauffer of Amity Township; Loretta J. (Harrell), wife of Jason P. Hershey of Columbia, South Carolina and Marvin E. III, husband of Kristina A. (Norton) Harrell of Reading.

Other survivors include four brothers: Morris D., husband of Faye Stauffer of Campbell, CA; Russell W., husband of Debbie Stauffer of Lima, OH; John R., husband of Mary Ann Stauffer of Boyertown and James C., husband of Susan Stauffer of Boyertown.

There are also five grandchildren: Aaron, Rebecka, John, Natalie and Madison.

He was predeceased by a son, Andrew Craig Stauffer, who died August 29, 1997.

Services will be held Saturday, June 22nd at 10:00 am in Blankenbiller Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., 423 Main Street, Oley, PA 19547. Viewings will be held Friday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 pm and Saturday morning from 9:00 am until time of service. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the funeral home at the above address to help defray final expenses.
