Paul Scott Sensenig, 73, of Wyomissing, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 21, 2025, in his residence. For over 52 years, he shared a loving marriage with Marie C. (McMurphy). Meeting at the age of 14, Paul was proud to walk beside Marie when they graduated from Wilson High School together in 1969.
He was born in Reading to the late Paul W. and Margaret (Bickel) Sensenig, and raised in Fritztown. He began his career in 1969 at the Metropolitan Edison Company and retired in 2018 as a General Supervisor of Electrical Construction and Maintenance.
A devout and faithful Catholic, he was a member of St. Francis de Sales Church and the Knights of Columbus.
A true renaissance man, he was a history buff and kept well versed of current events. He enjoyed gardening, swimming, and rounds of pinochle. Scott had a talent for music and could play the piano by ear. As a young man he was a member of the Reading Buccaneers in the trumpet corps. He also sang in his church choir. His greatest joy in life was always his family, especially his beloved grandchildren.
In addition to his loving wife, Marie, Paul's memory will be treasured by their children: Heidi Ann Sensenig-Holt, wife of Bruce Holt, of Wyomissing; Sarah Catharine Shuck, wife of Joseph, of York; and Scott Brendon Sensenig, husband of Amanda, of Exeter; grandchildren, Kenzie Holt, Avery Holt, Ella Holt, Blaise Shuck, Adeline Holt, Gabriel Shuck, Patrick Shuck, Catherine Shuck, and Ashley Sensenig; sister, Colleen White; and sister-in-law's, Cathy Anthony, Ann Varga, Peggy Rippy, and Connie Treegoob.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, 320 N Church St, Robesonia, PA 19551. Friends and family are welcome for viewing and visitation on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading PA 19611. Flowers are welcome and contributions in Paul's memory may be made to the Knights of Columbus at St. Francis de Sales, address above. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
