Paul R. Renninger, 85, of Leesport, passed away on December 14,2021, at Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Carol (Riedel) Renninger. They shared 56 wonderful years together.
Born in Oley, he was a son of the late Harry and Sally (Rothenberger) Renninger. Paul graduated from Oley Valley High School in 1954. Paul worked on his family farm for the early part of his life. He worked at Quaker Maid Kitchens and retired from Forino Construction as a construction worker.
Paul served his country proudly in the United States Army. He enjoyed the outdoors and was the groundskeeper of Trinity UCC Leesport, where he was also a consistory member. Incredibly handy, he loved to build new things with his immense carpentry skills. Most importantly, he was a caregiver to his wife for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Riedel) Renninger; children: Julie, wife of Michael Snyder, Duane Renninger, Connie Renninger and Leon Pawelski; grandchildren: Carly Schaffer, Morgan Snyder, and Paul Snyder; and seven great grandchildren. Six siblings: Carl Renninger, Fay Lauver, Regena Reinoehl, Shirely Shutt, and Vicki Renninger also survive him.
Paul was predeceased by his siblings: Darrelle Renninger, Harry Renninger Jr, Russell Renninger, Ronnie Renninger, Eileen Renninger.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 1:30 pm Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 5153 Kutztown Road, Temple, with burial to follow at Berks County Memorial Gardens. The visitation will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flower contributions may be made to Lebanon Veterans Affairs, 1700 S. Lincoln Ave, Lebanon, PA 17042.
