Paul R. "Skeeter" Coldren

Paul R. "Skeeter" Coldren, 82, of Reading, passed away November 13, 2015 in Hershey Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine G. (Guidara) Coldren.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Arthur and Katie (Schlappich) Coldren.

Paul was a member of St. Paul's R.C. Church, Reading where he was a member of the Holy Name Society, men's choir and was involved with the cub scouts and boy scouts.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving from 1953-1955.

Paul worked as a preboarder at Berkshire Knitting Mills for 12 years. He then continued working for Cabot Chemical Company, Boyertown retiring after 34 years.

In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by three sons: Terence M., wife Valerie J., Mechanicsburg; Steven P., fiancee Crystale, New Cumberland; and Jeffrey R., partner Stephen Hope, New York City, two sisters: Ethel Zuber, Lehighton; and Ruth DeWald, Sinking Spring, four grandchildren: Jonathan and Joshua Coldren, Christina, husband Joseph Stong and Victoria C. Coldren, three great grandchildren; Joseph C. and Kaylee Stong, and Nicholas A. Coldren.

Paul was predeceased by four brothers: Russell, Cleon, Robert and Ronald Coldren, and one sister, Arlene Fidler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in St. Paul's R.C. Church, 151 N 9th St Reading, PA 19601. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Mausoleum. A visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Paul's R.C. Church at the address above. Edward J.
