Paul J. Elensky

Paul J. Elensky, 89, passed away October 16, 2021, in his Hamburg residence.

He was the loving husband of Irene M. (Sterba) Elensky.

Born in Tuscarora, he was a son of the late Paul P. and Mary J. (Popnick) Elensky.

Paul was employed by Acme Markets Inc. as a produce manager for over 35 years.

A devout Catholic, Paul was a long-time active member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Hamburg where he served as organist and choir director. His family and faith were always paramount to Paul, and he cherished his wife and daughter.

Paul was very talented and creative including his green thumb and passion for gardening and landscaping.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, MaryBeth, wife of Michael Ferris; two sisters, Marie Everline and Margaret Elensky; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister, Anna Velosky.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 94 Walnut Rd, Hamburg, with burial to follow at St. Bertha Cemetery, Schuylkill County.
