Paul L. Correll

Paul L. Correll, 85 of Port Clinton died February 7, 2015 in Cornerstone Living New Tripoli. Paul was the husband Betty A. (Fidler) Correll whom he was married to for 64 years. He was born in Tilden Township and was the son of the late Charles and Ardella (Lerch) Correll. Paul was a Korean Army veteran serving with Company "C", 23rd Infantry Regiment as a radio operator. He worked for 30 years at Rockwell International as an expeditor retiring in 1991. Paul was a former Port Clinton Little League coach for 18 years winning four championships. He served on the Port Clinton Borough Council for many years, and was a member of the Hamburg American Legion for 64 years. Paul enjoyed hunting with all his sons and liked to watch the Phillies and Penn State Football. He was a former "Coon Dog Trainer" for several years and laid drags for "coon dog" trials. He was a member of St. John's Church, Port Clinton. In addition to his wife, his children, Carol A. wife of Stephen Marko, Shoemakersville, Betty L. Moyer, Windsor Township, Paul L. Correll, JR, Tilden Township, Gary L. husband of Donna Correll, Deer Lake, Harold J. husband of Suzanne Correll, Hamburg, Barbara J. wife of Glenn Shollenberger, and Debra J. wife of Donald Kline, Tilden Township, survive Paul. A brother, Larry Correll, Florida and four sisters, Georgia Specht, Hamburg, Patricia Cook, Ohio, Martha Etchberger, Florida and Armistine Muntz, Hamburg, also survive him. Additionally ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren survive and his beloved cat, "Gabby". Paul was pre-deceased by two sons, David and Anthony. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 12th at 11:00 Am from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th St. Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 7:30 PM and again on Thursday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Tilden Township.
