Paul D. Capozello, 76, of Wyomissing passed away on October 3, 2015.
He was the loving husband of Linda Klein Capozello whom he married on June 15, 1968.
Born in Reading, PA, he was the brother of Lawrence Capozello, Jr., of Reading, and the son of the late Antonette and Lawrence Capozello.
He was a graduate of Wyomissing High School, Perkiomen School, and the University of Maryland.
Paul served in the US Army and US Air Force Reserves.
He worked in his family business, Capozello Fruit and Produce, before purchasing the West Reading Hotel Restaurant which he owned and operated for eighteen years.
Paul was an avid fan and booster of the University of Maryland, including the tennis program for which he played as a scholarship athlete. A member of the Berks County Tennis Club for fifty years, he was an accomplished competitive tennis player for over four decades.
He was a good friend, a devoted father, and a proud and entertaining grandfather.
In addition to his wife, Paul is survived by his children: Alycia F. Nugent, wife of John Nugent, Baltimore, MD and Paul M. Capozello, husband of Sarah Capozello, Richmond, VA; and his grandchildren, William Paul Nugent, Charles Nugent, Charlotte Capozello, and Christian Paul Capozello.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading, with a visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Interment will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: Jesuit Volunteer Corps, 801 St. Paul Street, Baltimore, MD 21202 jesuitvolunteers.org or Corp Tennis, Reading Recreation Commission, 320 S. 3rd Street, Reading, PA 19602.
