Patricia M. Wurster

Patricia M. Wurster, 72, passed away on May 27, 2026, at Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center.

Her husband, Neil J. Wurster, passed away on September 19, 2017.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth Knarr, Sr. and Patricia (Dillon) Knarr.

Patricia is survived by her grandson, Alexander Knarr of Sinking Spring and his significant other, Elizabeth Hernandez, and by her granddaughter Emily Figueroa of Reading. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Jacob Montone, Aniyah Dominguez-Knarr, Zariel Hernandez, Violet Rose Hernandez and Armani Alexander Hernandez, and by her nephew Michael Knarr and his wife Debbie of Odenton, MD. Her sister-in-law, Judy Rhodes married to Jim Rhodes of Huntingdon, PA also survives her.

After graduating from Reading High School, Patricia worked for many years as a steel manufacturer at CarTech until her retirement. Notably, she was the only woman working in a department dominated by men. She was at ease in this environment. Her family and faith were what mattered most to her. Even while she was working at CarTech, she cooked, cleaned and cared for her family and did everything for them. Patricia also enjoyed traveling with her husband.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Kenneth Knarr, Jr., and her sister, Karen Knarr.

A viewing will be held on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading. Services will begin at 1 p.m., with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery.
