Patricia J. Sweigert

Patricia J. (Trout) Sweigert, 75, of Reading, passed away January 19, 2021, at the Reding Hospital surrounded by her children.

She was the loving widow of Dennis M. Sweigert Sr, who passed in February, 2000.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Daniel J., Jr. and Martha (Franckowiak) Trout.

She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a member of St. Anthony of Padua R.C. Church, Millmont, Reading.

Pat was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family. It was important to her to raise her children in a caring, empathetic environment and provide them with a faith-based education. She adored her grandchildren and loved them more than anything. She was passionate about Native American History and loved her rescued greyhounds.

Pat is survived by four children: Dennis M. Jr. (Susan) Sweigert, Richard D. Sweigert, Christine A. Sweigert, and David L. (Erica) Sweigert, all of Reading; two grandchildren, Peyton Sweigert and Allie Sweigert; two sisters, Christine M. Bertolet, Pennside and Diane Trout Rymshaw, Mt. Penn. She was predeceased by two siblings, Daniel J. Trout, III and Darlene S. Trout. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church 2330 Perkiomen Ave, Reading with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 326 Chamberlain, SD 57326. Edward J.
