Patricia Margaret Settle

Patricia "Patty" Margaret Settle, 81, formerly of Philadelphia, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on April 20, 2025 at Orwigsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Plattsburgh, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas Joseph McCafferty and Edna Elizabeth (Callaway). Patty was the spouse of John Frederick Settle, with whom she shared 59 years of marriage until his passing in 2022.

Pat worked as a caterer throughout her life, but her favorite role was that of a volunteer with Vitas, where she created memory bears for those grieving the loss of a loved one.

With her faith of great importance, she was a dedicated member of Calvary Chapel in Philadelphia.

Pat was a wonderful mother, she always made time for her children and grandchildren. She had a remarkable ability to forgive and embrace everyone around her. Her deep involvement in her church reflected her passion for faith, as she cherished leading Bible studies and sharing her beliefs with others.

She is survived by her children: John Frederick Settle, Jr., James Edward Settle, Patricia Settle (Brian Long) and Thomasina Wagner (David). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren: Brittany Maddalo (Christopher), Crystal Settle, Kimberly Settle, Edward Bayer III (Allison), Kaitlyn Yuro (Zach), Nicole Nichols (Daniel), Kayla Ferretti, Caden Wilson, Cohen Wilson, Jace Settle, and Tristan Settle. Her great grandchildren: Madison Ann-Michelle Yuro, Alannah Bayer, Emily Bayer, Edward Bayer IV, and Daniel Nichols. Also surviving are her sister and best friend, Edna "Eddy" Edgcomb and her dearest brother-in-law, Walter Settle.

She was predeceased by her sister, Shirley Oaks.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
