Patricia E. Pursel

Patricia E. (McVaugh) Pursel, 62, died July 15, 2007 in her Centre Township residence.

She was the wife of Ronald L. Pursel, whom she married April 29, 1967.

Born in Upper Darby, Delaware County on December 9, 1944, she was a daughter of the late Joseph F. and Elizabeth T. (Hoge) McVaugh.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Patricia was a graduate of Wilson High School.

She was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Patricia and her husband were the owners of Pursel's Roofing and General Contracting for 10 years and Pursel's Sandwich Shop for 12 years, both in Mohrsville.

She is also survived by three children, Christine A. Pursel at home, fiance of Jason Matz, Brian J. husband of Jenny Pursel of Leesport and Michael L. husband of Patricia A. Pursel of Reading. Other survivors include three siblings, Michael McVaugh of Atlanta, Georgia, Vincent McVaugh of Hamburg, and Teresa Steinhauer of Freidensburg, Schuylkill County.

There are also seven grandchildren, Jessica Smith, Teresa Smith, Kathleen Pursel, Dennis Smith, Alyssa Pursel, Jared Pursel and Michael Matz.

She was predeceased by a sister, Eileen Bricker.

Prayer Services will be celebrated Wednesday at 1:00 pm in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19608.
