Patricia A. O'Neill

Patricia A. O'Neill, 74, died October 8, 2009 in her Reading residence.

Her husband Bernard H. O'Neill died September 2.

Born in West Reading, she was a daughter of the late Phares and Margaret (Leisey) Holdeman.

She was a sewing machine operator for 10 years for Philliips-Van Heusen, Bern Twp.

Patricia was a devoted and loving wife and loved her entire family completely.

She loved: music, especially Elvis; playing the violin; sewing and making clothing; and animals especially her cats.

Patricia was an excellent swimmer and swam for many years on the West Reading swim team; she also performed in water pageants in her youth.

She is survived by four sons, Michael B., husband of Linda Miller and Anthony G., husband of Lois Miller, all of Shillington; Lonny D., husband of Janet Miller, Laureldale and Daniel K., husband of Debbie O'Neill, Mohnton; and a daughter, Peggy A. O'Neill, Temple. There are four siblings, Nancy, wife of Frank Suruskie, Sinking Spring; Joyce, wife of Ronald Fisher, West Reading; William, husband of Michele Holdeman, Dayton, OH and Mary, wife of Sterling Fasnacht, Wernersville. Twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren also survive her. She was predeceased by one son, Robert Michael Miller in 1951.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home.
