Patricia S. Moyer

Patricia S. Moyer, 85, passed away August 24, 2023, surrounded by loved ones in her home. Pat was the wife of the late Jay H. Moyer, who passed away on July 28, 2020, and with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. She is survived by her four children: Deborah Andreas, wife of James Andreas; Sandra Durinzi; Scott Moyer, significant other to Elaine Fonte; and Todd Moyer, husband of Amy Moyer; grandchildren: Jacqueline Torres, Matthew Damiani, Raeann Moyer, Julia Messersmith, and Roxann Moyer; as well as 11 great grandchildren.

Born in Cressona, PA, on June 3, 1938, to the late Luther and Anna Reed, Pat graduated from Cressona High School in 1956. She continued her education at St. Joseph School of Nursing, graduating in 1959. She dedicated 43 years to nursing, beginning at Saint Joseph Hospital, Reading, later working at Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill, and retiring from Arthritis Associates, and Bone Research Center, Wyomissing, in 2002.

Pat's interests included traveling around the world; her love for gardening and bird watching; trips to the beach; and, of course, her passion for the Philadelphia Eagles. Her life granted her many different titles, including wife, the best mom, a nurse, a loyal friend, Queen of Cressona, and, most importantly, "Nana." Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her beautiful soul, and she will be enormously missed.

Services for Pat will be private at the convenience of her family.
