Patricia A. Hiester

Patricia Anne (Miller) Hiester, 81, formerly of Brecknock Township and Phoebe Berks, passed away on January 25, 2023, at Reading Hospital.

She was the loving wife of Kenneth A. Hiester. They were married on June 28, 1958, and shared over 64 years together.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Earl J. and Elizabeth M. (Young) Miller.

She graduated from West Reading High School, Class of 1958.

Pat was a secretary for the Wyomissing Area School District for 21 years, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of Allegheny Lutheran Church.

Pat enjoyed reading, ceramics, puzzles, the beach, cross-stitch and sewing, bird watching, cooking and baking. Apple dumplings were a family favorite! Above all else, she loved spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Pat is survived by three children: Jay A. (Melanie), Joanne E. Lombardo (Edward), and Jill G. Hiester (John); daughter-in-law, Alison Hiester (R. Charles); and eight grandchildren: Jenna, Nicholas, Jaclyn, David, Alexis, Marisa, Kaitlyn, and Christopher; and two great-grandchildren arriving in 2023. Pat was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey L.

Services will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading with burial to follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Visitation from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Rev. Jayme Babczak will officiate.
