Patricia F. Fessler

Patricia Frank Fessler, died on April 29, 2025 at Phoebe Berks, Wernersville. Remembered as a lover of laughter and life and a woman of faith by all who knew her, Pat leaves many family members and friends to uphold her spirit. Born on November 12, 1933, she was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Marie St. Clair Frank, her husband, Lawrence J. Fessler, and sister Joan M. Cronan. Pat was born and reared in Reading, graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School, and married Larry in 1954.

Highlights of her professional career included five years as secretary of St. Catharine of Siena Parish, Mount Penn, and 16 years as administrative assistant to the president of Alvernia College before she retired in 1998. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Birdsboro, where she served as a lector and eucharistic minister and was active for many years in bereavement ministry.

Pat is survived by her daughters, Susan M. Fessler and wife Glenna Hedstrom of Leesport, Pa., and Kathryn M. Fessler and wife Catherine Vaughn of Richmond, Va.; siblings John L. Frank (Marianne) and Susan F. Pohl (Albert); granddaughters Hannah Vaughn (Jacob Levernier) and Rachel O'Caeleigh (Zachariah), great-granddaughter Rowynn; extended family members Susan and Craig Goodwin and their daughter Olivia Ricker (Daniel); and many treasured nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the ever-compassionate care staff of Phoebe Berks Village Commons, Wernersville, especially Tess Miller, whom Pat always introduced as her "extra daughter," for their love and support over the past six years.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Benedict, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, PA, on Tuesday, May 6. The family will receive visitors starting at 10 a.m. in the church, followed by Mass at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.

Contributions in lieu of flowers may be directed to Phoebe Ministries or to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Birdsboro.
