Patricia E. Burkhart

Patricia E. (Brown) Burkhart, 96, passed away in the late afternoon on August 12, 2026.

She was the widow of G. Robert Burkhart, who died on September 1, 2001.

Born in West Reading, she was the daughter of the late Jesse H. and Dorothy S. (Schearer) Brown.

She was a 1947 graduate of Wyomissing High School.

Patricia worked for Dr. Richard deB Bertolette for 31 years, retiring in 1995.

Patricia was a warm-hearted and compassionate individual whose kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered. Living a life dedicated to selflessness, she not only radiated beauty during her modeling days in her teens and early twenties but also cherished the moments spent with family and friends. Her appreciation for community was evident in her fondness for engaging conversations with her wonderful neighbors, and she looked forward to summer vacations in Stone Harbor, where she created cherished memories.

She is survived by her son, Scott W., husband of Sabrina A. Burkhart; her brother, Wendell E., husband of Ann Brown; six grandchildren: Lindsay K. Garner, Jennifer L. Weller, Brian Cole, Jonathan Maulick, Emily Taylor, and Morgan Burkhart. Patricia is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.

Patricia was predeceased by her brother, Jesse W. Brown, and her daughter-in-law, Donna Burkhart.

At Patricia’s request, services will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023 Merrifield, VA 22116-7023. Edward J.
