Patricia L. Cranmer

Patricia Louise (Arra) Cranmer, 78, died October 3, 2011 in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was married October 8, 1960 to the late Ray Vance Cranmer, who died November 6, 2006.

Born in Montclair, New Jersey on July 10, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Dominick "Donald" L. Arra and Dorothy L. (Stowe) Arra Stone.

Patricia was a 1955 graduate of Arnold College, (University of Bridgeport) Bridgeport, Conn.

She was employed as a health and physical education teacher with Coventry School District, Conrad Weiser School District and Muhlenberg School District.

Patricia was a former basketball, bowling and softball coach.

She was a girl scout leader for a number of years and served as Muhlenberg Neighborhood Chair for the Great Valley Girl Scout Council.

Patricia was a member of the Basenji Club of America; Mid-Atlantic Basenji Club and the Muhlenberg Education Assocation Retirees.

She was a former member of Wesleyan United Methodist Church, Reading.

Patricia is survived by three children: Kim C. (Cranmer), wife of Michael Marsh of Spring Township; LeeBeth Cranmer of Muhlenberg Township and Donald C. Cranmer of Muhlenberg Township.

She is also survived by two half-siblings: Joseph U. Murray of Reading and Donalisa Arra of Los Angelos, California.

Services will be Thursday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
