Patricia F. Capozello

Patricia Louise (Frick) Capozello, 81, of West Reading, died April 4, 2009 in the Reading Hospital.

Born in West Reading, PA on December 11, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Irvin and Kathryn L. (Lorah) Frick.

She was a 1945 graduate of West Reading High School.

Patricia was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, West Reading since 1949. She served on numerous Church committees and councils during that time, including as Secretary and President of Church Council.

She was a member of Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and Church Women United of Reading and Berks County.

She was President of the Westside Seniors since its inception, a member of the Junior Women's Club of West Reading, serving as President in 1953-1955, and in 1963 she became a member of the Women's Club of West Reading.

She was a member of the West Reading PTA, serving as treasurer in 1964, and was involved in community affairs, running for West Reading elected offices in 1961 and 1964.

She was employed for over 25 years in the Reading Hospital Pharmacy. Prior to that Patricia was also employed with Spotts, Stevens & McCoy, Wyomissing Corporation and the Borough of West Reading.

She was involved as a volunteer in the Reading Hospital Auxiliary (changed to Friends of TRHMC in 2005) for over 50 years, serving in numerous leadership roles including long term Treasurer and President.

She is survived by two children Margaret Ann Capozello of Kutztown, Fred "Fritz" J. Capozello Jr., of Murrieta, California, and one grandson Spencer Matthew Capozello also of Murrieta, California. Other survivors include her sister, Ruth F. Yund, her niece Lynda (Yund) Young, both of Columbia, PA, and her nephew Jeff Yund of Arlington, VA.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday April 8, 2009 at 11:30 AM in Bethany Lutheran Church, 336 Franklin St., West Reading 19611. Burial service will be private at Laureldale Cemetery.
