Patricia A. Weiser

Patricia A. Weiser, 92, of Reading, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. She was the widow of Charles "Chuck" H. Weiser, who passed away on October 22, 2021.

Born in Boyertown to Charles P. Pfautz and Edith I. Kirkhoff, Pat graduated from Penn-Bernville High School in 1952. She graduated from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing, commencing her lifelong career as an RN.

Pat retired as the Reading Hospital Nurse Manager of the Protocol Office (cancer clinical trials) after 30 years of service. She previously had worked at the University of Chicago Hospital, where she began her career in oncology.

Her faith was very important to her, which she loved to express through music. She served as an organist and choir director for many churches, beginning with Friedens Lutheran Church, Bernville and ending with her home church, Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, Exeter.

Along with spending time with her family, Pat loved reading, music of any kind, crocheting and jigsaw puzzles. With her husband Chuck, she loved to visit historical sites, especially Williamsburg and Gettysburg.

Pat is survived by her sister Kay Sheetz, wife of Henry, residing in Arizona. Also left to treasure Patricia's memory are her children: Jennifer Roth of Philadelphia; Beth Roth, wife of Verine Davis, of Indianapolis, IN; Eric Weiser, husband of Brooke, of Wyomissing; and Karen Lerch, wife of Kevin, of Muhlenberg; grandchildren Blake, Christian, Chadd and Jonathan; great grandchildren Jakob and Elijah; and great great grandchildren, Valerie and Luna.

A Celebration of Life for Pat will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Rd, Reading, PA 19606, with Pastor Jim Farnsworth as officiant. Friends and family are invited to gather at the church beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will be held at Charles Evans Cemetery, Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be offered to Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, at address above. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, is honored to be entrusted with arrangements.
