Patricia A. Ciemiewicz, 85, passed away on December 25, 2025 at her Spring Township home with her husband by her side. She was the wife of John J. Ciemiewicz, Jr. They married on March 19, 1960, and were celebrating their 65th year of marriage.
Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Theodore P. and Anna (Lewandowski) Field. Patricia graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1958 and went on to attend Reading Area Community College and St. Joseph’s Nursing School. She retired from the Reading Works Credit Union at Lucent Technologies, now known as Discovery F.C.U. in Wyomissing.
Patricia was a member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church. She loved her family and was whole-heartedly committed to them. Nothing exemplified this love better than her many trips to Disney World where she and John delighted in taking all of their grandchildren on individual trips.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Diane Rapp, widow of Jon, of Womelsdorf; Kathleen Fitzgibbons, wife of William, of Alpharetta, GA; Michael Ciemiewicz, husband of Marlene, of Spring Township; Kristin Ciemiewicz of Spring Township; and Patrick Ciemiewicz, husband of Michele, of Spring Township; siblings: Susan Souders wife of Rod Murray of Middletown; William Field, husband of Christine, of Shillington and Mary Field, wife of Frank Naret, of Saratoga Springs, NY; grandchildren: Danielle, Jason, Steven, Amber, Brandon, Natalie, Peter, James, Bryce, Lauren, and Ryan, and three great grandchildren: Addison, Oliver, and Elliana.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am Saturday January 17, 2026 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 2600 St Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19609 with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum in Reading to follow. Family will receive visitors Friday January 16 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading 19611.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius School Scholarship fund and/or the church. Condolences may be expressed at kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
