Pastor Noah S. Stoltzfus

Pastor Noah S. Stoltzfus, 73, of Blandon, passed away January 21, 2008 in his brother Leonard's Douglassville residence.

His first wife Edith L. (Spencer) Stoltzfus died April 3, 2003, He was the husband of his second wife Miriam R. (Weaver) Stoltzfus, Blandon.

Born in Morgantown, he was the son of the late Elmer and Sarah (Glick) Stoltzfus.

He was a graduate of Central Methodist College, Missouri, and Elim Bible Institute, Lima, N.Y.

Noah served 47 years as a Pastor for various churches, including 24 years at Lima Baptist Church, Lima, N.Y. and founded Lima Christian School in 1974. He pastored for twelve years at Landstown Community Church, Virginia Beach, VA, and four years at Zion Mennonite Church, Birdsboro until retiring in 2003. His ministry was characterized by compassionate care for people; leadership of debt-free church building campaigns and bringing people together across racial and denominational lines.

Survivors include a son K. Daniel husband of Angela Stoltzfus, Elizabeth, NJ., and a daughter Pamela S. (Stoltzfus) wife of Robert Thimsen Apex, N.C. and three stepsons Dr. Glenn husband of Jane Stoltzfus, Lancaster, Don husband of Linda Stoltzfus, E. Petersburg, Dr. Eric husband of Cheryl Stoltzfus, Farmington, New Mexico, and two step daughters Rhoda wife of William Longenecker, Morson, Ontario and Theda wife of David Jones Jr. Perkiomenville.

He is also survived by two brothers Ira husband of Joyce Stoltzfus, Sacramento, CA. and Leonard Stoltzfus, Douglassville, and four sisters Myrtle wife of Eugene Miller, Bonner, Montana, Rhoda Glick, Lancaster, Hazel wife of Lorne Grove, Stouffville, Ontario, and Verna Ruth Adams, Capitan, New Mexico.

Six grandchildren, twenty step grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren also survive him.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00am in Oley Mennonite Church, Oley Township. Friends may call Friday 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday one hour prior to the service in the church. Burial will be held in Oley Mennonite Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Lima Christian School c/o Edith Stoltzfus Scholarship Fund, 1574 Rochester Street. Lima, N.Y. 14485. Edward J.
