P.A.J. Prijs

Mrs. P.A.J. (Elly) Prijs, Huijser, 90, formerly of West Wyomissing, passed away July 8, 2013 in the Mifflin Center.

She was the widow of Mr. H. Prijs since 1989.

Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands, she was the daughter of Pieter and Wilhelmina (van Ommeren) Huijser.

She was a teacher and principal by profession before she married her late husband, who was employed by the Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Liberia, West Africa.

She belonged to a Protestant church in the Netherlands.

Surviving are a son and two daughters. There are also 6 grandchildren.

Services will be Monday at noon in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be held Monday from 11 to noon in the funeral home.
