P. Joanne Verbinski

P. Joanne Verbinski, 72, of Old Mill Road, Wyomissing, died Feb. 2 at 11:30 p.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since Jan. 22.

Her husband, Dr. Ted Verbinski, died Jan. 25, 1988.

Born in Tyrone, Blair County, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Edward and Virginia (Grazer) Shoemaker.

A registered nurse, Verbinski was employed by the Philadelphia Veterans Hospital.

She was a graduate of Tyrone High School and the Thomas Jefferson Medical University, Philadelphia.

Verbinski was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Verbinski) Brown, Pottstown; and a son, Adam J., Wyomissing.

Other survivors include a brother, Harry Shoemaker, Norwich, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
