Ottola "Lola" Ruby Harter (Heck) November 15, 2014. Born in Reading September 22, 1928 to Milton and Emily Heck. Lola was predeceased by two siblings, Russell Frantz and Elizabeth Wendt. Lola passed away peacefully at home on November 15, 2014.

Lola married the love of her life, William E. Harter, Sr. on December 21, 1945 whom she loved since she was five years old. They would have celebrated their 69th anniversary next month.

Lola was the manager of Talbott Knitting Mill for 30 years. She was also the past President for four years for the Ladies Auxiliary Knights of Columbus.

Lola was a beautiful woman who always had a smile on her face and was the most kind and caring soul. She loved to cook, bake, read, dogs on her lap, shopping at Hess Bros., holidays, family, and holding hands with her husband. Lola will be dearly missed by her loving husband and family.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children, William E. Jr., husband of Sandra (Jakoby) Harter and Patricia D. (Harter), wife of Richard A. Kuhn; five grandchildren, William J., husband of Doris Harter, Gary L., husband of Lori Harter, Lisa M. (Harter), wife of Jason Breitenstein, Kristen (Harter), wife of Greg Carey and Anthony P., husband of Jenny L. Kuhn. She is also survived by her step-grandson, Richard A., III, husband of Sheila Kuhn and seven great-grandchildren, Taylor Lynn Kuhn, Adraenne Harter, Isabella Breitenstein, Rielynn Carey, Kaelynn Carey, Briana Harter and Jade Kuhn.

Memorial Service will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Friends may call Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, 19540. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
