Oliver James Wilson, Sr., 82, died of natural causes June 1st in his residence at 1304 Frush Valley Road, Laureldale, Pa 19605.

He was husband of Loretta Mae (Souders) Wilson, (Married July 1, 1943).

Born in Cambria Township, Cambria County, he was a son of the late Oliver Roy and Anna Gertrude (Willman) Wilson.

He worked for 38 years as a crane operator and cutter at Dana Corporation until his retirement January 1983.

Wilson was a 1939 graduate of Blacklick Township High School, Twin Rocks, Cambria County.

He was an Army veteran of WWII.

Wilson is also survived by two daughters, Helen E. (Wilson) LeVan of Shillington, Loretta Mae (Wilson) Watson of Orange Park, Florida and six sons; John E. of West Lawn, Oliver J. Jr., of Bernville, Charles D. of Reading, Michael R. of Boothwyn, Delaware Co., David A. of Fleetwood and Mark D. of Laureldale.

Other survivors include two brothers, Charles of Twin Rocks, Cambria Co., Clay of Vintondale, Cambria Co., and four sisters; Velma (Wilson) Ritchey of Conemaugh, Cambria Co., Evelyn (Wilson) Landrum of Twin Rocks, Cambria Co., Aldamae (Wilson) Kennedy of Easton, Maryland and Ruth (Wilson) Evans of Preston, Maryland.

There are twenty-three grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Wilson was predeceased by a sister, Mazzie Wilson.

Services will be Friday 10:30 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research 15825 Shady Grove Road Suite 14, Rockville, Maryland 20850.
