Oliver Alderigi, 75, died August 22 at Fair Acres Geriatric Center, Delaware County, where he was a patient since February of 2005.
His wife Joan (Smith) Alderigi died October 3, 1988.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Joseph and Philomena (Vallario) Alderigi.
He was a graduate of Reading High School in 1948.
Oliver was a partner of Alderigi, Tobias and Seidel, an accounting firm in West Reading, for many years. In May 2006 he was honored with the 40 year life membership award from Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
He was a veteran in the U.S. Marine Air Corps during the Korean War.
He is survived by one step-son, Michael Smith, of Shillington. Oliver is also survived by one sister, Vivian (Alderigi) wife of Robert Bagley, of Daytona Beach, FL.
There are also two step grandsons, Patrick and Andrew Smith.
Other survivors include one uncle, Rudy Vallario and one nephew, Michael Boone, both in Florida.
He was predeceased by one step- son David P. Smith in 2004.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Resurrection at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in Edward J.
