Olive Elizabeth Ahrens

Olive Elizabeth Ahrens, 87, formerly of West Reading, passed away February 14, 2016 in Mifflin Center, Shillington.

She was the beloved wife of the late Robert P. Ahrens, who died September 18, 2014.

Born in Reading, England, she was the daughter of the late Georage P. and Alice O. (Dryden) Denny.

Olive was employed by R. M. Palmer as a candy packer for 17 years.

She was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Reading.

Olive is survived by her son, Richard P., husband of Michele C. Ahrens, West Lawn; grandchildren, Danielle, wife of David O'Brien, Shillington, Nikki Ahrens, Wyomissing, and Ryan, husband of Brianan Ahrens, Reading, and great-grandchildren, Damien, Elena, Robert, Hurley, Alex, and Emily. She is also survived by her siblings, Kenneth Denny and Esme Woodward both of Reading, England.

She is predeceased by her son, Robert G. Ahrens.

A memorial service will be held Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery.
