Olga M. Glassmire

Olga May (Madara) Glassmire, 96, formerly of Temple, died June 5, 2011 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

She was the wife of George F. Glassmire, who died September 29, 1997.

Born May 13, 1915 in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Irene (Madar) Madara.

Olga was a graduate of Pottsville High School.

She was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church, Temple and Trinity Lutheran Church, Pottsville.

Surviving is a son, Robert G., husband of Linda E. (Schaar) Glassmire of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Galen E. Glassmire, Jr., Suzanne E. (Glassmire) Elia and Brian E. Glassmire and six great grandchildren.

Olga was predeceased by a son, Galen E. Glassmire, Sr. on March 5, 1990, who was married to Eileen (Heimbaugh) and a grandson, Matthew R. Glassmire on October 4, 1989.

Graveside services will be private in Laureldale Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
