Norman C. Zimmerman

Norman C. Zimmerman, 90, formerly of Tilden Township died January 26 th in Keystone Villa, Maidencreek Township where he had resided the past several years. He was the husband of Ruth I. (Keim) Zimmerman. Norman was born in Bowmanstown, (Lehigh County) and was the son of the late Albert and Stella (Reber) Zimmerman. He attended Bernville High School and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II, 66 th Tank Battalion. Norman worked for E. A. Reider Company as a construction supervisor for 38 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of Schuylkill Valley Bible Chapel, Mohrsville. Norman was a member of the Carpenters Union Local #492 and a Life Member of AAA. In addition to his wife, his son, Peter C. at home and a sister Anna Mae Leyburn, Asbury NJ, survive Norman. A sister, Kathryn Graeff and a son Gordon B. Zimmerman predeceased him. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Schuylkill Valley Bible Church, 693 Irish Creek Road, Mohrsville, PA 19541. A viewing will be held form 12:00 p.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Viewpoint Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Church at the above address.
