Norman J. Ziegler

Norman J. Ziegler, Jr., 76, passed away on January 9, 2024, in his Reading residence.

He was the loving husband of Catherine A. (D'Agostino) Ziegler. They were married on May 16, 1970.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Norman J., Sr. and Irene B. (Biggerstaff) Ziegler.

He was a graduate of Wilson High School in 1965 and Elizabethtown College in 1969.

Norman was the owner and president of Crest Truck Equipment, Bowmansville, for 30 years.

A sports enthusiast, Norman was very involved in his children's sporting activities. He was the president of the Wyomissing Area youth football and baseball clubs for many years and valued coaching his sons and their peers. He always looked forward to his grandchildren's games, where you could often find him serving as the scorekeeper. He also enjoyed golf, fishing, and traveling. Above all else, he loved his family and spending time with them.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Kristopher N. (Natalie A.) Ziegler, Cape Coral, FL and Scott L. (Taryn L.) Ziegler, Wyomissing, and his grandchildren: Pacen, Birkley, and Ava. Four sisters: Renee McLean, Nancy Hiestand, Jennifer Murray, and Amy Beck also survive him.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024, from 10 to 11 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Road, Mohnton, PA 19540.

Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, Wyomissing Football Association, or Wyomissing High School Baseball.
