Norman Clifford Thompson, 85, of Ruscombmanor Township and formerly of Sicklerville, NJ, died July 8, 2014 in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township.

He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Vignola) Thompson.

Born June 9, 1929 in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Norman C. and Myrtle F. (Tilton) Thompson.

He was employed with Owens Illinois, Glassboro, NJ for 25 years, retiring in 1976. Subsequently, Clifford was the owner/operator of Towne Cab Company, Williamstown, NJ throughout the 70s and 80s.

He was active in racing cars throughout his life in both Reading, PA and Flemington, NJ.

Surviving are his two children: Jeffrey C. Thompson of Rockford, IL and Kathleen A. Thompson of Salisbury, NC.

Other survivors include his four grandchildren: Kristin Reber, Cindi Hummel, Joseph Hummel and Stefanie Fithian and eight great grandchildren.
